Sedation at the Golden Dental Centre
Dental anxiety is very common and it is important to us to help create a positive experience for every patient when coming to the dental office. Our office is proud to offer 3 different in-office sedation options, as well as treatment in the hospital.
Nitrous Sedation
Nitrous sedation, commonly called “laughing gas”, is the most basic of the sedation options offered at our office. This type of sedation would be recommended for young children.
Oral Sedation
The patient is given an oral medication that will make them relaxed, but still responsive during their appointment.
Sleep Dentistry
Sleep sedation is our newest sedation option at our office, and is offered by Dr. Van Biezen. It helps makes lengthy or complex dental treatment more comfortable and easy for patients. Instead of a pill, an IV is used to deliver the sedation.
Hospital Treatment
The goal of our Hospital Dentistry program is to provide care for two sub-groups of patients. We can provide in-hospital treatment for children in the area who have significant dental concerns and will not tolerate in-office treatment. Also, we can provide in-hospital treatment for medically high-risk adults.
