Dr. Shane Van Biezen | General Dentist
Dr. Shane Van Biezen is the practice owner and now calls Golden home!
He grew up in Airdrie, Alberta before moving to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he obtained his undergraduate (BSc) and dental degrees (DMD) from the University of Saskatchewan. While attending dental school, Shane received the Kent McLeod Scholarship two years in a row, as well as the American Association of Oral Biologists award. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering, most recently travelling to Central America with the Change for Children organization to provide dental care to children in need. He also enjoys spending time outdoors biking, hiking, and skiing the mountains of Golden with family and friends.
Dr. Van Biezen looks forward to becoming a part of the community, getting to know his patients, and working with them to achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
Dr. Danielle Briere | General Dentist
Dr. Danielle Briere graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry with Dr. Van Biezen. Before this, she played softball in Montana and the Black Hills of South Dakota while completing a biology degree. She then went on to finish her dental hygiene diploma before taking on Dentistry.
Dr. Briere loves working with kids and showing them that going to the dentist can be a positive experience. By making things fun and stress-free, she helps them lead a life of optimal oral health. One of her passions is creating beautiful smiles using braces, Invisalign, or Healthy Start. By trying to learn something new every day, she is able to provide the best care possible to her patients.
Now that she’s living in Golden, Dr. Briere enjoys hiking, mountain biking, teaching her little girl to ski, and getting involved in community activities.
Dr. Chad Gennings | General Dentist
Like all of us, Dr. Chad Gennings was drawn to Golden by its mountains and rivers. A graduate of the UBC dental program, he has been practicing dentistry in Golden since 2004. His scope of practice includes restorative, prosthodontic, and endodontic treatment, as well as, surgical and implant procedures. On occasion, Dr. Gennings works in northern Nunavut providing services to communities that lack a full-time dentist. Believing that patient education is the key to a healthy smile, he takes time to carefully explain to patients how to achieve and maintain optimal oral health.
Dr. Bridget Wall | General Dentist
Originally hailing from the Gold Coast, Australia, Dr. Bridget Wall has swapped the beautiful beaches for the breathtaking mountains of Golden. With a love of the outdoors and adventure she is excited to immerse herself in all that Golden and the Canadian Rockies have to offer.
Dr. Bridget finished her Bachelor of Dentistry with First Class Honors at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. Whether calming the nerves of an anxious patient or instilling confidence in a child's first dental visit, Dr. Bridget actively seeks to create a warm and welcoming environment in the office. Her kind and compassionate nature fosters an atmosphere where patients not only receive high quality, comprehensive dental care but also feel understood and supported.
Outside of the dental office, you'll find Dr. Bridget hiking and backcountry camping, snowboarding at Kicking Horse and experimenting with new recipes at home.
